Steam, beer and bites. That sounded quite inviting. Looking up the menu from the internet prices were okay too. After a long day, tired and no energy left to sit in a restaurant for an hour, or head into to town we decided to take the chance. Never ever make the mistake op stopping at a McDonalds after a long day when you are tired. I've always learned that in that particular moments it's when you need good food the most. Carbs, veggies and proteins.

But it said steam, beer and bites. Hm, okay. Maybe it was one of those burgerbars, we thought for a second, well it wasn't.

Domburgsch Bier en Melk Lokaal - Zeeland

Germans everywhere. Sometimes I have a thing in common with the Germans. It's the carnival season and as always the Germans who want to escape that madness come to our lovely Dutch seaside. I had that idea too this Saturday.

After a cold but very energising long walk on the beach of Zoutelande. It was a windy but very sunny day and it had snowed the day before. Cold hands and noses, but it was exactly what I needed after having worked almost every day since the beginning of 2018. I love the seaside, either Zoutelande or Cadzand where I spent all my summer holidays as a kid.

After 2 hour walk on the beach, we hopped in the car to find ourselves a place to lunch. Luckily we stopped for a quick lunch in the small town Westkapelle on our way to Domburg. Because Domburg was totally taken over by German tourists, and then jeez, the lunch restaurants. It might be a rich beach town but please show me one good restaurant. Either it's fish and ships or the standard lunch menus with croquettes at not so standard prices.

At the end of the main road, we were turning around to head back to the car, as we had lunch already anyway, we spotted a place called the Domburgsch Bier en Melk Lokaal. Beer and milk, that could be interesting.

We just found a pearl in one of the Zeeland's mussels.
